Along with volunteering directly at the shelter, there are various other many ways that you can help pets every day from the comfort of your own home, workplace, or community. Consider these creative ways to donate:

Host a fundraiser, car wash, or gift drive for pets!

As a nonprofit organization, Lost Our Home is able to care for thousands of pets each year thanks to the kind donations from people just like you. You can help by: organizing a FUNdraiser; having a Gift Drive; collecting pet supplies, or all three! By organizing a gift drive and donating items from our wish list, you directly help pets get the love and care they deserve.

Organize and host a workplace fundraiser!

Many employers sponsor workplace-giving campaigns through which employees can elect to make payroll deductions to selected charities. Encourage your employer to participate in such a campaign and ask for Lost Our Home to be your charitable donation of choice. What an easy way to help homeless pets find the care and compassion they need! Be sure to check if your company matches workplace gifts, enabling your donation to have greater impact.

Bake some treats!

You can also help by holding a Bake Sale for Pets. A bake sale is good, but a bake sale for pets is even better!

Host a movie night for pets!

Invite friends and family to a movie night with an “admission fee” to be donated to Lost Our Home.

Name a pet!

Work with your group to come up with a fun and unique list of pet names and receive direct updates when your named pet are adopted. ($100 donation per requested name.)

Donate your day and have the most FUN!

You can donate supplies, you can donate your time, but have you ever heard of donating your day? Each year, Lost Our Home receives donations from very generous kids who decide to ask for donations to help pets instead of presents for their birthday or other special occasion celebration.

Reuse items from your home or school that the animals can use! Plastic yogurt cups and paper towel/toilet paper rolls, and water bottles are great for animal enrichment projects.

Organize a donation/supply drive at your place of business, community, or organization.

We are always in need of food, toys, treats, leashes, and harnesses, among many other items. See our wish list for specific organizational needs.

Sponsor a pet!

Set your fundraising goals to sponsor a pet or to raise money for pet medical costs.
